Players Cues

Players pool cues stand out from the rest because of their unique styles and themes. They are also, in general, more affordable compared to professional-grade pool cues. However, they are still a solid choice when you want quality at a good price point.

Is Players a Good Pool Cue?

Professional reviews give Players cues a high mark for quality, but they do admit the accuracy isn’t as good as cues made with higher-grade craftsmanship. One of the best models is the Classic series C960. Players pool cues do come with a lifetime guarantee, including against warpage. You probably won’t be able to find a pool cue with this much quality for the price.

How Are Players Cues Made?

Standard features on each Players pool cue include:

Grade A Hard Rock Maple, grown and harvested in North America. Seasoned craftspeople choose the wood for each cue by hand.

After harvesting, the company cures the wood. During the curing process, they turn and dry it seven times to prevent warping. Players also treat the wood with Nelsonite to protect the wood from atmospheric changes like humidity, before sealing it with an epoxy finish.

Players cues make the butts out of exotic hardwoods, including:

  • Cocobola
  • Walnut
  • Purple Heart
  • American Birds-Eye
  • Straight Grain Maple

You also have a choice of wraps, depending on what you prefer.

How To Identify a Players Pool Cue

Look towards the end of the butt of each Players pool cue to see the official logo and the encircled “P” to denote the brand. There are many models to choose from, so there are plenty of Players cues on the market right now in players’ hands.

What Are the Best Players Pool Cues?

The Players Classic Series C960 pool cue is one of the best on the market, as we mentioned above. It’s Available in 18 to 21 ounces, the stainless steel joint and Le Pro tip offer quality at a good price point under $200.
