I own a higher end Viking cue and wanted to check out their lower price Valhalla line. I am extremely impressed with the quality at this price point.
When compared to my higher end Viking cue the major difference is the lower quality tip. It's not a terrible tip, but I'll be upgrading it down the road. My other Viking cue also has a Vikore shaft which has a "reactive" center for low deflection and low vibration. I definitely feel more vibration with the Valhalla shaft on hard hits, but I think a lot of that is due to the tip. The shaft on the Valhalla is also a much whiter maple than my Vikore. I assume that is because they age the wood 8-10 years for Vikore shafts.
Overall this is an outstanding cue for the price point. If you're looking to get high quality cue for a budget price you can't go wrong with a Valhalla. Especially with the lifetime warranty that you won't find on comparable cues.
